“When we first opened in 2013 my main focus was to give every child what I wanted to give my own children at the time. If I couldn’t be with my kids during the day what would I want them to do? I would hope they enjoyed crafts and sensory play, they sang, and were involved in enrichment classes as if I took them to “mommy and me” groups, and that their teachers listened to their likes and dislikes and used that to help them learn more.
With the help of an amazing staff we dug into different curriculums, based lessons off of state standards, and created a plan as the year went on according to what was engaging and interesting for the children in the group of that time.
Pocket of Preschool is another huge inspiration for us as Jackie Kops inspires learning through play and helps to support our ideas and philosophies by touching on each subject area and creating a memorable experience for each unit taught.” –Christina
